He recommended selling high on Morse.  With the giants  in need of offense perhaps a deal based around morse and bumgarner?  I know straight up that probably is unequal but that can be ironed out.

EDIT: or maybe to the cards for John Jay and other(s)

Why stop there, maybe they throw in Cain too

Pfft, Cain?

Lannan and Desmond for Lincecum.

Ridicule aside, Lincecum and Cain are not practical trade targets. Bumgarner might be. And adding him would make an elite staff.  The Giants need a shortstop (don't they?), a big power hitter, and they'll want another pitcher.  I think Morse, Desmond, and Lannan for Bumgarner might be reasonable.

I think that is fair for both sides

Bumgarner was an elite prospect and is one of the best young pitchers in baseball and is cost controlled- I'd say given relative contracts he's almost as valuable to the giants as Lincecum and way more than Cain

So Ric Andersen is either jerking around the entire fan base for a team that he roots for or he has stumbled upon the biggest Nats related scoop of the year.  Dude has his office listed with his Twitter account and he's got a real job where it would not look good if he made a total ass out of himself publicly.  On the other hand he's some sort of improve actor so he could have cooked up this hoax in the same vein of the Mike Wise hoax from last year to try to demonstrate how rumors are spread on Twitter.

Based on my research, it's a buy, we got the big man!  We got Fielder!!!!  Holy crap after years of waiting we finally have a real team here in DC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt a signing this big leaks through that guy. I'm sure the legit reporters would pick up on it by now; it's not like boras doesn't have good relations with the ones he floats mystery teams through

I also found a tweet yesterday that stated simply

@Emery1101
michael emery smith
Prince fielder agrees in principle with the nationals! Wow! #nasty

I responded and asked what he knew and got this back:

@Emery1101
michael emery smith
@natcapskin I have friends involved in the deal.

Now granted, could be a total joke.  But the guy doesn't post a lot of stupid stuff.  further down on his trenline I found a tweet that says he speaks with Scott Boras on the phone occasionally.

Just take it for what its worth.....there is a lot of smoke and its just possible some of this is true.

Sure, it was about Obama, nothing remotely Nats related.

It would be hilarious if we got Prince Fielder the same day the Marlins got Carlos Zambrano.

Well, one thing is for certain....fielder certainly wont be signing with the Cubs.  The dude wants money, and he wants to win.  He'll only get one of those things in Chicago for the next 3-5 years.

If you don't think the Cubs are going to be in the playoffs in the next 3-5 years you're delusional.

All kidding aside, I'm buying it, looking at his Twitter profile and past history, it's legit.  I've been fooled before but usually I can spot a hoax.  Wonder what is taking Zuckerman, Kilgore, and crew so long to confirm this.  Call the House Press Gallery and get the guy on the phone to pump him for his source.

Now that the terms are public it wouldn't surprise me if we get the official news tonight.  Only problem is that Boras is on west coast time and all these announcements all come out late in the day, it could be hours before he hear for sure.

I'm just tired of constantly searching mlbtr and wnff on my slow ass droid. The thing pisses me off more than having to wait for Prince to sign.
