At the Patriots Center for a kids show and they have the dynamic screens at the concessions stands the same as the Nats were bragging about, just about as damn annoying as you could imagine. Standing there with the family trying to figure out what everyone wants and the menu turns into an ad, so then you wait for the menu to reappear for thirty more seconds. Good thing the line was slow. The hot dog chick said that people have been complaining all day.

(the last Disney show here they sold beer, no luck tonight.)

I'd rather post this here than start a new topic. As most people know, Nationals Park recently opened the PNC Diamond Lounge to supplement the PNC Diamond Club. The Club is supposedly open to Diamond Club STHs and the Lounge (the tent on the outside of the concourse by the home plate gate) is for the single-game ticket holders in that section. If I bought seats off of Stubhub from an STH, can I get in the Club or will I be relegated to the Lounge? Not that it's a big deal either way, but I grabbed some cheap Diamond Club seats (never done the premium seating before) for the first home series and I'm just curious.

I've never purchased Diamond club from StubHub, but I have other third parties. I was able to get into the club no problem.

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I believe that it depends on how the seller purchased the tickets, and I would assume that most resales are from season ticket holders. So I think you are good to go for the main club.

One thing to remember is that you get free beers and that you have access to leave and return to the club, allowing you the opportunity to hook me up.

And the servers there are very generous with the beers. While I was having dinner in the club before the game, my server kept bringing beers to my table, without me having to even ask.

The Big Stick will be opening across M Street from the Metro exit on Half Street this summer, they'll be selling brats and beer. Name sounds like one of the places that the city chased out of there when they started building the ballpark.

You can reserve parking at numerous private lots around the park. I used spothero so we'll see how it works for Opening Day.

Heh, I just noticed the Nats have the STH discounted ticket code on their website. Guess they're not really trying to hide that...

What do you think about @Nationals_Tickets claim that the team will be issuing hard copy tickets again this year? Sounds like BS, but I've purchased tix from her before and would otherwise say that she is a reliable source of info.

I think it's a miscommunication from the ticketing staff. If the initial limitation was it would be too difficult to have a ticket and card active at the same time, I don't see how they would have fixed that this year. Only thing I can think of is they put the same barcode on all your tickets which links it to your account.

Also don't know about that reseller account thing. That would have to suggest the ticket office is getting smarter and that seems like a long shot.

I'd agree with the mis-communication part, typically the ticket reps find out the new rules in a meeting just before the policies go public so they deal with rumors as much as we do.

The tracking of the "resale accounts" I believe completely. I got a phone call from the team last year warning me that I'd lose all access to Red Carpet Rewards if I sell any more of my bonus tickets on StubHub. They are tracking how season ticket holders use their tix.

This probably belongs in a dumb question thread, but what's the difference between cask beer and keg beer?

Unpasteurized, unfiltered beer that's been conditioned and served from the cask in which it was conditioned.
