I'm hoping the "new" throwing motion is a stop-gap until he can get completely healthy in the off-season.

Has there been any word on whether he's still working on the new throwing motion?  I feel like this team never tells us anything until someone is practically dead, so when I see people saying he's clearly still hurting, it does make me wonder...

FP said he's been spending a lot of time working on it, coming in early and spending time in the cage working on it, so it's probably still a work in progress.

I was following the game online.  Did Davey summon his inner-Riggleman with that double steal that started the madness?

Yes. Classic NL baseball.

Yeah, they talked about it during the game.  It's a work in process, he's really trying to use his base more/better rather than all arm/torso.

Hope you get to see Bixler run. Baserunning like that causes a ruckus. He's smooth and very fast.

That's great.  It seems that this team plays best when it's doing stuff like that.

The Bernadina bunt for hit play was really effective also.  I'd like to see that come back.

I remember that rule. It made sense. Can't understand why current catchers try to field with the mask on.

You take your mask off and throw it off to the left discreetly. That way the guy rounding third sees it laying on the field and might slow down approaching home.

I hope Davey doesn't replace him with a big hairy-chested right handed bat.

Ankiel played his damn ass off - I think he was never right before, because he played like that in the beginning of the season.

On Davey's weight, Baseball Ref says he played at 170. He must have added 10 or 20 pounds when he managed the Mets. I remember a slightly chubby Davey. If he's down to 155 or so, it's strange.

Bixy is one of the hardest workers in the league. He's a great guy in the clubhouse too.

What did you run to your phone?
