Attendance for the double header, 39,638.  Not bad.

We left at the conclusion of Game 1 but the lines for food were REDONKULOUS.  I really hope the Nats get better at concessions before the team gets competitive.

Would be nice to send the crowd home with a win.

McCutchen is one of baseballs best young players.

Still a very winnable game.

Also, Charlie and Dave made my whole day, regardless of results.

Zimm threw a lazy bloop to first.

WTF!

I don't know if he's still hurt or this is the new throwing motion.

But it sucks.

It looked to me like he had to hustle to get the ball, and needed a perfect throw to get McCutchen. It looked high, but not a bloop.

He's always had a bit of a loopy motion.

He mentioned in one of his initial interviews that he's eating right and not drinking much, and was proud that he was down in the 150s. He said he had "ballooned" to 200 pounds.
Has Davey Johnson always been this thin?

They need to put the hit and run on. The only way Werth hits it is if he isn't thinking about the perfect pitch.

Folks have to shut the freak up with the booing. Do it once, then stop. Werth is at least swinging now.

Werth raised his helmet to the crowd as he went into the dugout. The honeymoon is over.
