Phil Wood must have been on one of those daytime TV makeover reality shows.

Ankiel 0-4 with 2 SO's.

No other MLB team would keep NIX ON the the bench to play someone who is a bench player.

Riggleman is hilariously reluctant to praise Morse.  I've never seen him look so uncomfortable.

There are too many lefty batters on the roster.  Who was supposed to be the right handers?  Nix, Ankiel, Stairs, LaRoche were signed.  We already had Morgan and Bernadina (in the spring).  Where were the right handed bats supposed to come from, Rizzo?   >:(

I must be a tough judge of ability. Because I dont think of LaRoche as a slick fielder. I think of him as slightly above average.
When I think of slick fielders today at 1B, I think of Mark Teixera, Pujols and Todd Helton in his prime . And in the past guys like Mattingly, JT Snow, Doug Mientki-however its spelled, Keith Hernandez, Mark Grace.

I'd also add:

I'm not at all biased either  ;)   He also had one of the prettiest swings in the game during his career. Must be something to do with lefties.

I get both feeds tonight...I have opted to watch the Dbacks feed. Always good to get opinions about our ball club by outsiders.

Except that Darren Sutton is a boob.

Dude do something so we can spot you on TV.

We were front row on top of the bullpen on the 1st baseline.  Not a lot of camera time, unless a home run or deep foul comes that way.

To the stadium comments - I like the field, but the stadium itself feels like an airplane hanger.  And yes, I even like the "soul patch" from the mound to home.  Same in Detroit.  It feels "old timey".

And some drunk ones.  Both of which caught Storen's attention early on.

Fair 'nuff.  I'll reserve further judgment until I can see the place firsthand.

What's their temperature threshold for closing the roof?  90F?  100?

Great game. Love the way Morse has been playing, you know? (Morses interview made me lol).

Hopefully Nix plays tomorrow...

Not sure actually.  It's scheduled to be opened for this whole series, but Sunday afternoon could get pretty hot.

As a baseball park it's actually pretty nice.  Great sightlines, not a terrible seat in the house.  My biggest complaint aside from the hangar feel of it is that it's entirely too symmetrical.

I've benn there a few times, fans don't seem to be as into the game as other places and the pool is goofy, but a nice park overall.

If that asshat sheriff in Mariposa County had his way, anyone named Xavier would be automatically deported.

It's Maricopa County.  There's nothing wrong with that sherrif (Joe Arpaio).  He's just trying to keep Arizona from becoming Mexico's northern territory.  Unfortunately, because we have a President and a Congress that don't really seem to care about illegal immigration, it's a battle that's being lost and the drug cartels will soon be running Tucson.

Haha I wish there were a way to call it Rainbow County, but Butterfly County is second best
