Not for me - just flip on the bedside radio and enjoy (especially now with the better radio reception on FM-106.7).

Arizona is 8-2 in in their last 10 and 18-11 at home. They aren't a good team though but the series could be ugly for the Nats.

can't be happy we took a series from the phils can we?  not saying let's get too high from a series win, but we should be feeling pretty good about the way we've hit - especially against some stud pitchers - and the way our pitching came around in that homestand (with the exception of maya).

So?  Phils were 7-3 before dropping the last two.

Are the Arizona D-backs this years version of the 2010 San Diego Padres?

I think they're the NL version of the the Indians.  Decent talent in a division full of teams with major issues.  Someone has to win that division.

That's not a bad idea. I still couldn't stay up for the whole thing, but maybe I'll give that a shot.

The tv sleep timer and I have become good friends, but I think I might be up really late working and watch the whole thing today.

I think the Diamondbacks are not as good as their record indicates

That, however, says nothing about how this series will go, obviously.

Guess we'll find out what kind of team each is.

I used to love these west coast trips back when I worked nights, but now I can barely keep my eyes open through the third inning :(

Nats have actually been respectable (at least by Nats standards) against the Diamondbacks on the road: they are 9-10 all-time at Arizona, have never been swept there and have not lost a series there since 2008 - they went 2-1 there in 2009 and 2-2 in 2010.

We split the series there last year 2 games apiece.  Won the ones where Dunn hit bombs, lost the ones where he didn't

Hopefully some combination of Werth/Espinosa/Morse/Nix can provide the power this time around.

Why the hell would you play a guy like Laynce Nix when you can have Rick Ankiel kicking ass and taking names!?!? :smh:
