In terms of errors, yeah, but his UZR/150 is legendarily bad in LF. We'd be making the same mistake we did keeping Dunn there for so long.

He's been perfectly acceptable at first. Great stretch play for one out. No, he's not close to LaRoche, but he's better than Dunn and we need him now, and we need him there.

Yeah, but there's really no telling when LaRoche will be back, so there's no real reason to worry about that at the moment.

Winning teams rarely have to win on walkoff homers because they are usually ahead by multiple runs by the time the ninth inning rolls around.

Perhaps. BUT it is in their DNA that they can pull off games like this when the blowout doesn't happen.

winning teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat - we're supposed to beat the Padres. Look, I know we barely beat something between a AAA and an independent league team tonight, but hey, it was a fun night at the park.

I also noticed that before the rain delay he had a very fast pace. He received the ball from the catcher and quickly threw another pitch. It seemed like it worked too. After the rain delay, he still had the same success but I noticed he slowed down a bit. Maybe it was just me though. He did throw his curve a lot today, which is something he has been needing to do.

Factoring in the rain delay, I'll say this is maybe Lannan's best game.
