He just went down the line and everyone gave him a hug and word of congrats on the masterpiece.  Livan might have copped a feel, but everyone seemed to be enjoying that, smiles all around!

Too bad we didn't have a healthy Marquis last year.  Also, he's currently the top performer for the day on ESPN, ahead of Ryan Howard and Mike Cameron.

He'll probably try to sack-punch him tomorrow.

i splurged on 219 club tickets for the kids tonight, very comfortable (padded seat bottoms) but I still prefer sitting lower.  The highlight was the 50ish Giants fan in the row in front of us who dove right down a row of empty seats for a foul ball, ending up face down on the concrete while another Giants fan in the row ahead reached over and tried to pull the ball out of his hand.  After the 2nd Giants fan apologized the first gave the ball to the 2nd's kid.  Pretty classy move.  Stars and Stripes club was nice, especially when we needed to warm up for a bit.

Oh, and before the afterglow of this game passes.  I was watching Rundown on MLB Network today and I transcribed the "rundown" they gave:

Quote
Giants and Nats.  Tim Lincecum, the big story, it always is.  But also in the lineup Freddie Sanchez is back at 2nd base.  Buster Posey back at catcher and Miguel Tejada back at shortstop.  Those three guys did not start Wednesday so they had a couple days off heading into this series against the Nats.

At the time I thought, the Nationals had put up the very first no-person or, at the very least, no-person-worth-mentioning lineup.

The Cardinals-Braves have the same umps we had last series...HP ump Tim McClelland took so long to call a third strike on a 3-2 pitch, the Braves runner on first nearly got picked off by the catcher as he was moving towards second, thinking the hitter walked (the batter was halfway to first).  It seems like every game these days, there's at least one legitimate complaint against the men in blue.

Marquis has been a nice surprise. I'm glad he got his elbow problem straightened out.

he was awesome tonight, simply awesome.  Still sad to think he'll likely be in pinstripes by June, hopefully we get one of the Yankees top pitching prospects in return.
