I believe Werth is "feeling sexy" at the plate. His stance is closed up.

Reminding me of a really bad Steve Miller song (I think). Other geezers on the board will probably know which one.

Steve Miller, not Steve Miller Band, and it's the best/worst music video ever

He widens up with two strikes... but not so much that time.

Bases are supposed to be loaded with one out.  That ball hit Ian's arm.

You have MLB.tv?  You can listen to Charlie and Dave if you do ;)

Ya but I'd be distracted. Only time I listen to the game is if I'm outside grilling having some beers...

When you post, you usually miss other posts between when you started typing and finally post.  I usually go back to try to see if I missed anything, but not everyone does that.

The replay clearly showed the trajectory of the ball was altered when it glanced off his arm.

I believe Werth is "feeling sexy" at the plate. His stance is closed up.

What do you mean? His lower half is open. Is he more closed up top than normal?

He did change his stance though, he's holding the bat higher. It's completely different from his normal stance.

It seemed like his legs were closer together, but still an open stance.

Hopefully it's not the same kind of 'Wide Stance' a certain politician claimed.

Excellent take there, Morse.  You're good for something, at least.
