Why? Because he got injured? When he has no history of serious injuries? Injuries happen. No way that signing was as bad as the Maya signing.

Exactly. The team docs know what they are doing. They examined him, and knew what the issue was.

It'd be one thing if they refused and put it off, then found out he was seriously injured. But a dead arm is pretty common and was diagnosed correctly.

But people like the complain about anything here, so they run with whatever they want.

Another serious question - why not just give him an MRI? Is there any harm in doing it? I've gotten an MRI on my knee and they didn't inject anything - I was pretty much in and out. Would a shoulder MRI be of the type comish4life described and require time off from pitching? They spent lots of money signing him so spending a few extra bucks to protect the investment would make sense so the cheap argument doesn't really hold much water in my book.

for someone who has been pitching for a while, stuff will show up - not necessarily causing any problems. However, once found, will be treated, frequently with surgery, thus ending a season. If rest will take care of it, worth the 2-4 weeks out, rather than a lost season or possibly more
