Speaking of Jameson Tallion, he faced our Hagerstown Suns today and here is his line

I'm very surprised

that nobody has been talking about this kid in the GCL by the name Wander Ramos. So far he's hitting .333 6HR(league leader) 18RBI 10BB 20SO .443OBP .719SLG 1.163OPS in this young season for him. I'm calling it now. He will in our top 10 prospects in no time. If anyone want to jump on the bandwagon now, there's still seats available.

There's plenty of 21yo in the GCL. But I agree. I want to see him do it at an higher level.

I'm tracking him from a distance. I like that he's starting to take some walks the last few games.

Anyone know anything about this Hendry Jimenez kid? stats in auburn. .400/.456/.675 with an OPS of 1.131 with 5 doubles, 5 triples and 3HR's

Taylor Jordan CG shutout for the Suns tonight

7 IP 4 H 0 ER 0 BB 2 K

9-4 with a 2.48 ERA on the season now. He should be in Potomac

26 year old Bill Rhinehart batting .289/.390/.613 (1.003 OPS) in 225 ABs in AA.

He showed promise early in '08 but has been unimpressive up until now.

Sick numbers this year though

Rhineheart hit an absolute bomb of a home run today against the Squirrels.

He was facing off against left hander Eric Surkamp (1.78, 113 Ks in 98 IP), the second most impressive pitcher in the EL outside of Peacock and he hung a curve, and Rhineheart unloaded on it deep over the two outfield walls in right.

Then, the next AB he took a heater low and away and smashed off the left wall. Hit it so hard he couldn't even reach second base... but he's got tremendous pop in his bat.

Any info on GCLer Estarlin Martinez?

Batting .344/.400/.609 with 4 HRs, 3 Doubles, and 1 Triple in 64 ABs. 8 BBs to 6 BBs and 4 SBs to 1 CS.

He's only 19 and appears to have a good approach.

Martis 6 IP 9 H 2 ER 1 BB 10 K today for Harrisburg. 84 Ks to 22 BBs in 80 IP in AA this season.

Last year in AAA he posted 99 Ks to 60 BBs in 152 IP. Weaker hitters or has he made adjustments?

it has and i mean HAS to be his last shot with this organization.

oh wait it's rizzo's boy, so we'll continue to see him get shelled. hell he'll probably be our #2 starter after All Star break.

The best thing about 2012 will be having Strasburg/Zimmermann in the rotation.

The second best thing will be having Mock out of the organization.

Of course, I'm keeping my fingers crossed with both of these.

hammonds, I don't think Mock is likely to see the majors again, but if he does it won't be with this team. There's just too much rotational depth ahead of him at this point.

it's beyond me. DCab was bad at the MLB level and Rizzo said he got tired of watching him pitch. Okay, well if this guy is getting shelled in the MINORS, how can you not do the same.

he doesn't have the stuff or mentality to succeed in the majors.

Tyler Moore and Archie Gilbert are both going to be in the Eastern League HR Derby on Wednesday. Ultimately it doesn't mean much, but it is kind of cool to have one of our guys participating and winning it. I remember a few years ago when Michael Burgess took the SAL HR title. The feed was available online and it was neat to see him crush some baseballs, but obviously these things are just exhibitions of a players pure power and not much else.

Dont know how much pop gilbert has but moore has amazing power.
