When the freak does Manno get a promotion?

He's 22. Was pretty impressive last year. Lights out this year. There's no reason for him to be in low A still.

Could it be he/the Nats want Manno (LHP) to work with the pitching coach (Chris Michalak, another LHP)

I would hope that he'd go right to AA soon.

Interesting thought. Could be. He needs a new challenge, though. He's ready for AA.

Personally, don't think that's a reason to let the guy pitch at a level clearly below him. He's been dominant all year, and is a tad old for the league. Even if that were the reason for his success, you can't hold him back. What are you going to do next year? Attach Michalak to his hip and move him up? If anything, if Michalak were that good, he should be wherever Smoker is. Smoker's got more upside and still needs some adjustments adjusting to a reliever role. If Michalak were that good that they'd attach someone to him, Id think it would be Smoker.

I dont know much about Manno's stuff, but even if he's a lefty that tops out in the high 80's, he could still have a future out of the pen at the big league level(as opposed to someone like Milone, who has legitimate long term questions as a starter). Since he's dominant at such a low level, it's time to promote.

NFA is probably right, the Nats like to keep some players under the tutelage of a specific coach for the entire season at the single A level.  It wouldn't surprise me if he finished most of the year at Hagerstown and started at AA next season.

He's too old for GCL, he needs to go to Auburn or Hagerstown.

Elbow or shoulder. With the delay, I'd guess it was a shoulder injury

Shairon Martis is still relatively young. He might get it together.

26. Dellin Betances

He's pitching tonight in a game I'm working... Want to see what he's all about... Or if he's typical Yankees prospect hype.

Speaking of which, why is Jesus Montero still in the top ten? He's dropped from the 3-spot, but he's clearly not sticking at catcher in the bigs (44 steals in 55 games!) and has only hit 7 homers this year. Well, okay. He's only 21. I should show a little patience, he has a year or two to get his act even more together than it already is.

Great to see two kids in the top 50. Once Rendon is signed, we may have 2 in the top 10, 3 in the top 50.

Norris and Ray could crack the bottom 1/4 as well. Maybe even Purke if he signs and has the chance to show he's healthy.

No matter how you spin it, the talent in the minors is definitely on the rise.

Betances is pretty good. Topping out at 97. Only throws two pitches though. Might end up in bullpen.
