In my rundown, I forgot Antonelli (because he didn't start tonight), batting .318 in 148 ABs.

yep, hes been getting a lot of playing time at SS, and with desmond struggling badly, he should get a call-up.

I'd call him and Marrero up to replace Stairs/Bixler.

I'd then let Lombo play a bit more in AAA then call him up to replace Desmond as a starter/utility guy. Just for a bit at least.

Bixler was useful again today and plays every position. FIRE MATT STAIRS.

As much as I like Desmond, I've gotta agree with this. Desmond might need some time in AAA to get his bat in order.

How is Antonelli's defense at SS?

I wish the rest of the team were hitting because Desmond has been really good defensively and his missing bat would be less of an issue if Werth and the rest could pick up the slack.

I agree with calling up somebody to replace Matt Stairs.  Hairston should also be on the DL and we should call someone else up, too.

everyone contributed at Syracuse last night - Brown hit a HR, and Maya actually had a decent outing.

Desmond's defense is saving his job now - who would have predicted that last year.

Ah.  Brainfart.

Still - they need more and better bench players while the regulars are hurt.

Saw that it was a July 1 move, so that makes more sense. I thought you were reporting that he went on the DL today.

J.P Ramirez is heating up, he's hitting at .405/.421/.541 over the last 9 games. He's 2-3 tonight with a granny, and 4RBI's.

Who the hell is Carlos Martinez and why are they letting him crap on the mound in Syracuse?

He's worse than Hassan Pena!

This organization needs to stop this!  Yes, it's just AAA but even AAA pitchers shouldn't be this bad!
