jesus flores just hit a grand slam.  it was his first homer of the year and he's not batting .262.

:whip: Stud

I can't believe how good of an outing Ray had wow. Too bad the pen blew it. Still, Freitas cranked a solo HR and Oduber stole 3 bases tonight for Hagerstown. And oh yeah, Harper had 2 more hits.

Meyers was okay in his AAA debut. He is in line for the win as long as the pen doesn't blow a 6-4 lead.

5 IP 5 H 4 R 4 ER 1 BB 5 K (89 pitches, 66 strikes).

He was still throwing strikes though which is good.

I'd like to see Nats bump up CFer Archie Gilbert to AAA.

.275/.359/.609 in 69 ABs with only 3 Ks and 8 walks. He has blasted 7 HRs already (Had just 11 last year in 445 ABs) and has 6 SBs. He plays CF too.

He is a career minor leaguer but hey might as well give him a chance.

21 year-old LHP Bobby Hansen improved to 4-1 today for the Suns.

If you take away his 1 awful start (0.2 IP 6 ER) he has given up only 7 ER in 28 IP (2.25 ERA).

Hagerstown is in first place and now carries a record of 21-11.

His season numbers for Hagerstown:

15.1 IP 7 H 0 ER 2 BB 24 K (1-1, 4 Saves, 0.00 ERA, 0.59 WHIP, 14.09 K/9)

Antonelli picks up a single and a run in the first. Good for him. Hope he or Lombo can make the jump to AAA in short order!

Erik Davis, the starting pitcher we picked up in the ALGO deal left after 2 IP today with some sort of injury.

Was leading 2-0 when he left, but the reliever quickly gave up a 3 run HR.

Craig Stammen had a nice line today:

7 2/3, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 0BB, 6K

Corey Brown was 2-3 with 2R, he's hitting a lot better in May.

It's been noted before, but a bunch of guys - Mock, Atilano, Martin etc. - have been marginalized in terms of their future roles.

Stammen could still help, though.  He may be third in line to get another shot after Maya and Detwiler.

Surprisingly... I think Maya has probably passed Detwiler in terms of who'd get the first call-up from AAA.

After ST, I didn't think that'd be the case.

Detwiler has been okay but still not nearly as we had hoped. May be time to move him to the bullpen after this year if he doesn't break through.

Stammen already failed as a reliever so he might get one more chance to start in the Majors at some point.

I'm not sold on Maya but I think he can be a better/young version of Livan.
