Awful pitching by Marquis
I was hoping when he came off the DL that he would be serviceable, but that looks exceeding unlikely to happen.

"The only one who'll play here" is such a depressing idea.  :icon_frown:
The trade route for a seasoned Veteran will have his "No Trade Clause" to deal with as well. The Nats will have to win with a rotation of Strasburg, J Zimmermann,Marquis, Lannan, Stammen in 2011/2012 until we get a " Cliff Lee" type of starter to come here.

willingham is a tough case.  he's the only one that can tell everyone how much he hurts (unless a machine shows there is serious damage).

also there really isn't a lot of OF depth in our system.  harris/maxwell have been given chances they really aren't taking advantage of them.  morse has really only played RF.  whiting is only in the 260s, burgess isn't ready, mench/lambin haven't put up great numbers in AAA recently.

You're completely underestimating Yunesky Maya. They didn't get Chapman, but he has more polished stuff than Chapman has currently.

I would put Boomer Whiting in Left, Bernadina in center and Morse in right. At the very least you would have outfield defensive speed.

I just don't know if Whiting is ready just yet.

The Nats are certainly the organization to be in to give a guy a shot.

Well this is depressing. On a positive note, Marquis pitching isn't enough to keep the bugs away... There's a swarm over the Nats dugout driving players and people in the first few rows nuts.
