that story is about TBS picking up sunday 6/13.  It does not say he is pitching on 6/19.

from the link above:

Quote
WASHINGTON -- TBS will show this Sunday's road game between the Nationals and Indians, Stephen Strasburg's second career start, but it will only be available locally on MASN.
The Nationals' game against the White Sox on June 19 will be broadcast nationally on FOX, the team announced Thursday.

The game will not be televised on MASN, as FOX has exclusive rights to the matchup.

MLB Network will broadcast the June 18 game, though it can also be viewed on MASN.
Fox I think had to announce they were picking up the game early beofre his schedule was set. If it is just Lannan pitching on 6/19, they'll show it in Washington and maybe Chicago, and show their other 2 games everywhere else.  If it is Strasburg, then neutral markets will get Strasburg.

Just went back and listened to the radio broadcast of the debut.  That was fun.  I needed a break from conference realignment talk.

I heard the Ripkens talking about it on XM 175 earlier, they said that the players they talked to compared it to pitching a whiffle ball to a little kid.

I have a subscription for the audio only so I can listen to games when I'm at work.  They archive all the games.  Haven't listened to the Pittsburgh call.  That might be interesting.

We now have our tickets for 6/23, which of course means something will come up and force his start to move.

We're going with infield gallery for this one, section 308.  Has anyone sat there before?  If so, how is it?  We usually sit in the 110-109 area, but these seats were only $22

The Network spent the better part of three days reliving the Strasburg debut.  Best week of XM coverage I've ever heard.

they announced it on the 18th as of now, but nothing is set in stone.

FWIW, I screwed up at the ticket machine at Nats park yesterday and bought 3 tickets instead of 4 for 6/23 (thanks to the kids asking questions while i'm trying to make a purchase).  I bought 4 when I got home and sold the 3 I paid $22 for at the park on Stubhub for $35.

I was in 317 for the debut game and thought it was the perfect perspective to see the drop on Stras' curveballs.  For the 6/18 game I bought tickets in the 300s again, picking the 1st base side to get the better sight line with right handed hitters.  For the 6/23 game I had exchanged 12 of my Red Carpet tickets to take a group of co-workers before the Strasburg start had been announced, I'll be looking like a big shot hooking everyone up with those tickets.  We'll be in 307.

He's pitching on the 18th because it would give him two home starts.

Only 3 players on that list have numbers good enough for a major league rotation. Ask again why the team is below .500 :bang:

So it's not every 5th game, it's every 5th day?

It's the 3s and 8s through the all star break unless there is a rainout on a date he is expected to pitch.

You know, it's going to be freaking awesome when he pitches against Philly, STL and New York.  I'm guessing the hype machine will settle down for a few days and then kick back up again around July 3rd when we host NY.

BTW, his every five day schedule lines up with 7/13, which is the all star game.   If he has 4 more great starts between now and then, MLB will have a very difficult time keeping him off the team.

He could pitch against Philly around 8/1 at home.

Grienke struck out 12 today, but it doesn't look like the stars are going to line up for 6/23 as Zach pitches 6/19.  Instead it looks like we'll get Brian Bannister vs. Strasburg.

I assume that does not preempt the normal MASN feed, correct? (Don't have tickets for Friday and would not be able to go even if I did.)

Locally, I believe it will be shown on MASN (or MASN2, whichever one is carrying the White Sox series) and blacked out on the MLB Network.
