you think this offense scores 6 runs off of lincecum? todd freaking wellemeyer just owned us last night

nyjer morgan tony plush is too busy caring about his second persona to play reasonably well on offense (or defense for that matter), and the middle of the order can't drive in any runs

what?

on nats xtra he was just interviewed ... good tv.

they asked him about choosing baseball over football, his thoughts on his teammates and who to look out for, where in the outfield he has been playing, how they feel about strasburg down there and how good the nats have been and his hitting this year.  then finally they asked him about a time line mapped out for his rise through the ranks and he gave the good professional response that he just wants to get better everyday.

seems like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders.

haha did someone from WNFF just ask them a question?

the question was desmond is hitting over .350 batting second, why not have desmond bat there everyday.  the silver fox says desmond should be hitting second no questions asked.

Did Johnny Holiday just recommend a lineup like this;

Morgan
Desmond
Guzman
Dunn
Zimmerman
Willngham

I kind of like it if Guzzie is hitting...

Just adding more to Johnny Holiday's Ray Knight's idea;

1. CF Morgan
2. SS Desmond
3. RF Guzman
4. 1B Dunn
5. 3B Zimmerman
6. LF Willingham
7. 2B Kennedy
8.   C Nieves/Pudge
9.  Pitcher

If we think it would work defensively with Guzman in RF, that would be awesome offensively some days if Zimmerman wouldn't mind hitting fifth.

you know, i really respect wil nieves.

who?

wil nieves, who in 10 years had never hit a home run in the majors. He saw two fastballs, two strikes. But fastball number three...

He doesn't hit for much of anything, but he really seems to work his ass off and comes off (and I've heard this dozens of times) as one of the greatest human beings in the game. He's been solid as a backup for us. I'll give him crap because I think we can do better but I like the guy.
