It may be due to his age.
Exactly right.  Desmond's too old to be a prospect anymore.  We should just be glad that he seems to have evolved into a major league-quality regular at a tough position.

And man...Zimmerman is still Jesus. Career high RBIs in a game!

6 RBIs is that a Nationals record?

One more run and we can trade a run for an out and still win.

Willingham had two grand slams.

It just required getting rid of the riffraff.

You just can't resist a knock on Julian, can you?

Why won't Riggleman take Zimmerman out of the game?  Now, I'm in favor that "defensive substitution"!

Why isn't he still a prospect if Heyward is still one?  What difference does his age make?

Prospect would imply someone that's about 18-22 years old imo.

No. Willingham had 8 last year with the 2 grand slams.

No lead is safe with our non-Clippard/Capps bullpen, by the way.  Keep piling the damn runs on, thank you very much.

GOD. MORE HITS.

Willingham had 8 in a game last year. Seven others have had 6 in a game.

pulling Dunn with only a one run lead might come back to get Riggs later

Nope!

Austin Jackson's on the list and he's 23 and was drafted in 2005.

Ahahaha...was wondering if anyone remembered me.  Remember when my Guzman avatar was supposed to be grimly ironic?  Man, seems like a decade ago.

Still been rooting for the Nats, been busy with my job, life, etc.  Hang out at Baseball Think Factory a lot, post a bunch of Nats-related article links there.  What a wonderful surprise this season has been, after slogging through the last two apocalypses.

I'm in Madison, WI right now, for what it's worth.  Which means no blackout restrictions on MLB.tv!
