This may be geeky but I'd love to apply a political economy filter to which universities and high schools tend toward 'undiscovered' schools. I'm thinking scouting follows talent and wealth (indirectly through high quality sports programs) and that there would be some interesting correlations between schools which certain teams recruit and where certain talented players emerge. Granted I have nowhere near the time to do that anymore and that taking the minors into account would make it a small book in and of itself.
