Church playing backup on the same team starting Milledge, with Hanrahan closing...  there's a good joke in that somewhere.

They have a scary rotation, too:

Paul Maholm
Zach Duke
Ross Ohlendorf
Charlie Morton
Kevin Hart

Almost won rookie of the year last year.

.293/372/.567/.938 with 21 HR's/44 RBI's in just 314 AB's.

Still fits in with my description. Guys like Jones and Capps go entirely unnoticed because they play for the Pirates. I knew he was either promising and I'd just not heard about him, or some Jeremy Burnitz type.

I'd take Ohlendorf.

I probably would, too. He sucked as a reliever, but he had a good season as a starter last year.

I want Smoltz.  What an asset he would be to our young pitchers.

No.  He isn't even the smartest pitcher. Craig Breslow is.
