I want to punch Greg Amsinger in the face. He's been a d-bag about the whole thing.

I bet he says it as they head to the ninth. I want to see Mitch Williams kick his ass.

He really is annoying as hell sometimes.

I prefer that new guy they have. I like Vasgersian too, but I prefer him actually announcing games.

Edit: Actually, I want Vasgersian to randomly become the Nats' announcer. How awesome would that be? Having him calling our games with Dibble.

He left the network to do just that. Was Chris Rose the guy they brought in to replace him? I saw him on there earlier this evening before the games started. I don't get to catch much of the network before games usually and today was the first I had seen of him on there.

I believe you could be mistaken. I've seen him on the network still. Victor Rojas was the only one who left. He's now the Angels' TV announcer.

I don't know if the guy's name is Chris Rose, but it might be. He's pretty good. In fact, he could be my favorite.

Ah, that could be could be the guy.

I know Chris Rose is new. He's been with Fox for a long time, I've seen him do NFL stuff and some Nascar maybe too. and was a part of the Best Damn Sports Show Period with Dibble for a while. He's good.

I like that MLB Network is litterally going after the BEST guys out there. They pulled Costas from HBO and Gammons from ESPN and god willing Kirkjan will join him soon, but some of these studio guys too are some of the top names in the biz. It's pretty remarkable, really. NFL Network doesn't even have guys that big...

Yep.

Woes update: now at 2-14. The normally very active Orioles forum at ExtremeSkins has gone almost silent.

What has me really amused is Dave Trembley. He gave a terrible awkward response to the media recently. The guy's having an absolute meltdown. You almost have to admire the way Manny Acta hired his job situation last year compared to him. I give the dude two more weeks to keep his job at best.

There was, it was a pretty sweet third to second to first around the horn triple play.

Also, there was a tiff between A-Rod and Dallas Braden in that game. Apparently, A-Rod ran over the pitcher mound between innings, and Braden got on his case about it?

Rodriguez said he had never heard the unwritten rule that a player shouldn’t run across the mound. When Braden started yelling at him, Rodriguez didn’t know what it was about. “I thought it was pretty funny, actually,” Rodriguez said.

Braden, though, went out of his way to call out Rodriguez. He spoke very kindly of the Yankees organization, but took great exception to Rodriguez.

“He should maybe watch his Captain a little more often,” Braden said.

Is not running across the pitcher's mound as a position player one of those unwritten baseball rules? I can't remember seeing a tiff about it before.

I've never heard anything about running across the mound being a taboo. Although I would have knocked Rodriguez on his ass just for the fun of it.
