CSN DC SportsRise is not half bad. At least they talk about teams I care about.

I know it's been said before, but MLB Tonight blows the doors off Baseball Tonight and ESPN.

Quick Pitch in the mornings with breakfast is great too.

I'm living with folks right now before I move into my new place in July and their local cable provider doesn't have MLB network  :'(

PLEASE, PLEASE somebody tell me they are watching the Tigers-Indians game.

I'm watching on Gameday and Rick Porcello just threw the nastiest pitch I've ever seen them record.

96 MPH fastball that backs up like a boom-a-rang... this has to be some sort of mistake, right? Keep in mind, Porcello is a right hander, so unless he has the fastest screwball known to man... I don't know what explains the pitch he just threw.

That still seems like an awful lot of break for a 2 seamer that fast. Probably a mistake but who knows.

Hence the 'sick' part

I have no idea though. That looks awesome. I wonder what it looked like on tv.

Ya sorry I had to fix it. Works now.  :-[

There used to be a video that included all 20 strike out pitches but of course MLB removed it.

Solid write-up on Andrew McCutchen.  It's Jerry Crasnick's second really good piece this month (the first being on Strasburg).

Remind me to check that out on MLB.tv tonight.

I tried to watch it on MLB.tv, but the archive isn't ready yet.  I wish I had a way to record it.  If it was really that nasty, they should have it as a highlight video on MLB.com soon.

I believe the two speeds are the initial velocity out of his hand and then the velocity as it crosses the plate.

It isn't ever going to happen but I would freaking love to see the Nats somehow pick McCutchen up. The Pirates FO isn't exactly bright... Bergmann, Batista and Alberto Gonzalez for McCutchen?

Ok, I didn't really see where it was that crazy.  Must be a glitch.

The Indians have Mark Grudjulalalazaza and Austin Kearns? How could they Nats possibly finish behind them. Number 2 pick next year!

Meanwhile, somewhere on CIFF: "The Nationals have Miguel Batista and Willy Taveras?  How could the Tribe possibly finish behind them.  Number 2 pick next year!"

Yeah, Gameday freaks up a lot. Porcello has some nasty pitches, but not THAT nasty.

Juan Rodriquez taking time out from his live blog to "write about this garbage" meaning what St. Claire has done to the pitching staff.
