Wang had some shoulder soreness today so he skipped his bullpen.

Will try again Friday.

Nah, just here.  No one else cares about the lowly Nationals.

Actually, if you google Natstown, you'll find a Sons of Sam Horn link that has 76 pages of comments.

Wow, a bunch of cocky-crap Red Sox fans making fun of the Nats for bad marketing.  I'm impressed.

Strasburg's bat is good enough to produce 1 run per game. If he goes 30-1 every season while the rest of the Nats win 35 games, he has a good shot at Cooperstown.

What the hell? You are nuts if you think he's allowed to swing the bat. He'll look at 3 pitches like Shawn Hill [/exaggeration]

Yes, there is a lot of poking fun in that thread, but by mid-season there was actually some interest in the players and call ups.  Any out  of town site is going to have a lot of giggles at the Nats expense. heck, we do.  Still, it is amazing that the Schadenfreude made the Nats one of the more followed teams.

What the hell is with Tyler Walker? He's like Julian Taverez, only worse.

Flip over to the MLB Network.  It's Pads/M's.  Tell me we can't have someone comparable to sideline chick on the Pads broadcasts.

Fun little exercise over at Hardball Times.  Forcast the playing time of everyone on the 40 man.  Don't forget to submit the NRI guys.

Ok... was reading the Nats inbox from Blob... and his answer to a question really set me off for some reason.

Quote
Why do you like Livan Hernandez so much? Is it because he can eat innings? --
Michael P., Winchester, Va.

I feel Hernandez gives a great effort every time he is on the mound. He also helps himself with the bat. Since I've been on the Nationals/Expos beat, Hernandez is the best pitcher I've covered -- by far -- followed by Chad Cordero.

Is Bill really suggesting that the other pitchers don't give a great effort every time out? That's borderline libel statements... especially coming from a beat reporter.

Plus, saying Hernandez is a better pitcher than Lannan really shows his biases, doesn't it?

No. ASSCLOWN doesn't know what libel means.

While our post often have the same amount of anger... most would have to admit mine are actually structured and don't rely exclusively on insults and smilies.

lol.  It's not libel.  A little disingenuous perhaps, but not libelous.  I don't think he's trying to put down anyone else.  It's just a lazy answer.

Per MLBTR, Jason Stark is saying Willie Harris is on the trading block, but it's an insider story on ESPN, so I can't get to any more details beyond that.

• Cristian Guzman, SS, Nationals SS: "They're trying to peddle him. But I think he's still got shoulder problems. He's still throwing from a three-quarters slot, at best. He can hit, but he can't throw right now. Plus, he makes $8 million, and they don't want to eat a lot."

• Willie Harris, INF/OF, Nationals: "Can still come off the bench and steal a base, or play the infield or the outfield."
