Always the brides maid, never the bride.

Our ownerships sucks.  They are cheap, period.

4 years ago we were building a great scouting department, then we find out that our scouting department is the joke of the league.  Now I read again, we are building another great scouting department.  Where have these cheap Bs been "investing" the money?  We don't get Champman, we dont get crap. What a joke of a franchise.  These guys are beyong loaded (make Synder look like chump change), but they are so cheap!

We lose 100 games and we add Pudge, Capps, Marquis and a bunch of scrubs? wow. I'm really impressed.

Lerners = Peter A.

Meh, I've been happy with our action this offseason. We seem to finally have the person in place at GM who can right the ship.

I was happy when I was foolishly assuming that we would add a quality second baseman and another decent starting pitcher.

meh, what's another 100 game losing season right?

How can you be happy with this offseason?

Capps, Pudge, Marquis and a bunch of scrubs off the trash heap.  Lowered expectations?

The problem isnt just Hudson V. Kennedy for a year, it's Lerners forever being the owners!

The Lerners write the checks.  Rizzo was desperate to get the GM job.  Kasten is a parrot.  I'm aorry, but the Lerners are cheap.

yeah, I know right?

we should have kept everyone we had last season!

how can anyone possibly be happy with clear improvements?

we didn't sign Hudson. that alone, by itself, means we are guaranteed to lose 130 games. regardless of whether we acquire a 2nd Base upgrade through other means.

ladson just tweeted to not be surprised if Rizzo is trading for a 2b.

That can't be the reason he's moved on from Hudson.  It has be be because the Lerners are Cheap.

I'm just amazed that guys like Bedard are signing for less than Pudge and we are going to attempt to go with the junk that we have... Poor Marquis, that sinker ball will be worthless with our SS/2B combo

I wanted the guy in his mid 30s for a one year deal not someone that is in their 20s and under club control.

especially since there isn't a single solitary 2nd Baseman available besides Hudson.

he was the only one.

in all seriousness, the Lerners have been doing well so far in the offseason, and thusly you had nothing to say. you were just waiting for something to not work out so that you could jump out of your hole and whine about it.

GTFOWTBS. go back to your hole. there's only room for one ASSCLOWN around here.

So tell me what's the excuse for the lack of scouts the past 5 years? You guys want to play small ball and try to win with a payroll under 40 mil, that's fine, but it doesnt work and even when it does the window is so small.... DC should be big market, but these owners are cheap...

Perhaps people would be less riled up if this organization had a history of giving a crap about the product they put on the field.

Rizzo has made some nice moves this off-season, and I like him. Let's see what he has in store now that he's going to miss on Hudson. Kennedy would work, hopefully we can actually sign him. Moving Guz to second is just not acceptable, not with better options out there.

Pudge is a pitcher now!!111!!!! Let's reorganize the board structure !!!11!!1

This is sportsfanian. No one knows what irons Rizzo has in the fire. He almost got a young starter through trade, and now I think he'll get Uggla. He can send Bonifacio type players to the fish for a couple years of Uggla and I'd be happy, plus it'll make NatsAddict apoplectic.

I swear, some people will only be happy if Rizzo time travels back to 2005 and hires 100 scouts.

They can only affect the future, not the past.

You haven't heard me say it. They're cheap and It's beyond pathetic. They have a payroll that is less then the previous 2 years and that is unacceptable.

This is sportsfanian.

And you know what, posters like ASSCLOWN and hammonds have been eminently reasonable about all of this because Rizzo is an excellent GM.

Front office staff and trade partners are lining up to work with him because of his professional manner.
