I assume they return the Boxter with rose petals on the seats and an iced bottle of Dom in the boot.
Could be I'm looking in the wrong boot.
The 2012 Ford Focus looks like a sleek new competitor in the C segment.
It looks kind of like a Skoda. Do you know where it was designed? The Focus was a big seller in Europe before it was released here.
V6 in a C Segment? No thanks. I am hoping for a hotted up version in an ST or SVT with something like a 2.0 EcoBoost. A V6 would be too thirsty and most likely heavy enough to screw with the driving dynamics. A turbo'd I4 with around 200 hp and 200 lb-ft should be plenty quick and plenty fun.
Examples? The difference would be that those cars were designed for a bigger engine and tuned accordingly. For instance I've read review on the Audi A3 where the 2.0t is the better handling car when compared to the 3.2 V6 model.I think a V6 in a compact economy car is overkill anyway.
That's different than say 10 miles to blue's house. And they own the new Porsches, that's different insurance, I would think. They have to insure someone to drive other people's porsche's presumably all around the DC area. Wow. Isn't there a Naughty By Nature song about that?
That's a RWD car though. I think when you are talking FWD the effects of a heavier V6 vs an I4 are much more pronounced. There was talk about bringing a Capri to the US. That could be cool. What is wrong with a Focus ST or RS? 300 HP not enough?
I always wonder why US companies sell their best cars in europe
Just because I don't need or want a big car or an SUV doesn't mean I want a crapbox.
Halfsmokes, Chief, or Dunnkey, whatever you prefer, respectfully requests that multiple photographs not be quoted, as they significantly slow down page loading times.I know, we all do it at times, but just saying.
Just remove the img tags and/or link when quoting. I can't do anything about it for now, but I'll look into possible mods to achieve the same result when I'm at a real computer.
Gotta go home and pull the MacBook out, eh?
Toyota took the extraordinary step Tuesday of suspending the manufacture and sale of eight of its most popular models because of an unresolved mechanical flaw that might cause the accelerator to get perilously stuck in the depressed position. The move comes after two massive recalls involving millions of vehicles with either the same flaw or one in which floor mats also caused the accelerator to get stuck. The Japanese carmaker told its dealers to temporarily stop selling the RAV4, Highlander and Sequoia sport-utility vehicles; Corolla, Camry and Avalon cars; Matrix hatchbacks; and Tundra pickups ...Krebs said the eight models represent 65 percent of sales of the Toyota brand and more than half of sales of the parent company, which also makes Lexus and Scion.
