It would be nice to forget that he's going to end up in pin stripes before he even hits his prime

The kid has NY and LA stars in his eyes, he'll jump ship as soon as he is able, and probably rightfully so as his endorsement opportunities will be far greater in those cities.  If I were Rizzo I'd be open to offers, looking for the type of multi-player talent infusion that could move the Nats from middle of the pack also-rans into immediate contenders.  I'd ask for two young starters (pitching and outfield) and at least two top prospects.

A little more discretion would be nice, but it's probably not that big of a deal.
THIS.

On the other hand, he's a Duke fan, said the Terps and Tar Heels fan.

0 and 8 to start off the fall league, the kid is killing his trade value.

as long as he wins games for us and isn't a distraction in the clubhouse i could care less who he roots for outside of the nats.

He is a talented kid. Recalling back to that time in my life I would be unsurprised if a few years didn't bring a whole new perspective.

JRoll just tweeted this.  We might be a little over sensitive.

Uh, what does that mean?

Just saying I don't see much difference between what Harper tweeted and Rollins tweeted.

Harper stole like 26 bases in the minors last year and I hear he is very aggressive on the base paths so my question is how do you think his speed will translate to the majors?  I can see him steeling 25-30 bases some years.

Harper just hit a 2-run homer.  It looks like he's warming up! (2 for 2 for the night so far).

it hasn't seemed as if he has struck out very much - maybe his luck is changing.
