This.  We've already seen what Maxwell can (or can't do) a few times.

Bringing up Maxwell would be terrible. Let him stay in AAA to get AB's. I would hope it's Morse and he gets an opportunity to play instead of Gonzalez.

Would the roster spot opening have anything to do with a unsigned Pitcher.

It shouldn't.

Who knows, the Nats might secretly put him in the 25 man roster to pitch on tuesday.

I'm a big Maxwell fan, but I would have to go with Morse.

Might not have anything to do with the 25 man roster, but might have something to do with the 40 man roster...

EDIT:
The 40 man roster is currently full with 40 players, however 2 of them (Terrell Young and Roger Bernadina) are on the 60-day DL, meaning they are technically not on the 40 man roster.  So before the Kensing move, there was still room for the signing of a certain draft pick...

So if there were two spots available now, maybe Bernadina is ready to come off the 60 day DL AND Strasburg gets signed today?

More likely the contract of Morse gets purchased... and the whole Strasburg thing...

If the Nats ever need another spot on the 40 man roster, they can always transfer J-Zimm to the 60 day DL, he'll be out quite a while.

Morse or Clint Everts.  Clint's gotta be on to the 40 man by the end of the year or we lose him to FA.  He's showing real life as a reliever and think he would real value to the pen.

But we prolly have Morse through next year, so let him hang in Syracuse until next Spring, when he ought to be given a Spring try-out.  I think Morse has tremendous value as a infield utility guy... just hope he isn't AAAA.

Can 60 day DL Olsen
Same with Flores
Can waive a Marco Estrada type. Can cut Kearns.

Lots of options.

It would be kind of cool to wheel him out in the 9th on Tuesday, then send him to Vermont.

It was Morse that got the call.

Can't wait till people start ripping him for not being the next big thing.

Not a bad selection - I think he adds a lot of value with his apparent versalitity in the infield, size and hitting for average.
I'd still like to see Clint Everts called up before the year ends.

Now, who takes Mike Morse's spot?

Who knows, he could be our 2nd baseman next year. I hope he isn't riding the bench. Riggs better play him.

Luis Atilano? Does it need to be an infielder?

Wouldn't be shocked to see Belliard traded in the next few days.

Yep, something's got to give. Our pen is stretched as it is and now we're a man short not that he was anything great but he was an arm.
