Please be Morse, please be Morse, please be Morse!!!
Would the roster spot opening have anything to do with a unsigned Pitcher.
Might not have anything to do with the 25 man roster, but might have something to do with the 40 man roster...EDIT:The 40 man roster is currently full with 40 players, however 2 of them (Terrell Young and Roger Bernadina) are on the 60-day DL, meaning they are technically not on the 40 man roster. So before the Kensing move, there was still room for the signing of a certain draft pick...So if there were two spots available now, maybe Bernadina is ready to come off the 60 day DL AND Strasburg gets signed today?More likely the contract of Morse gets purchased... and the whole Strasburg thing...If the Nats ever need another spot on the 40 man roster, they can always transfer J-Zimm to the 60 day DL, he'll be out quite a while.
Who knows, the Nats might secretly put him in the 25 man roster to pitch on tuesday.
It was Morse that got the call.http://masnsports.com/2009/08/kensing-dfad.htmlCan't wait till people start ripping him for not being the next big thing.
Not a bad selection - I think he adds a lot of value with his apparent versalitity in the infield, size and hitting for average. I'd still like to see Clint Everts called up before the year ends. Now, who takes Mike Morse's spot?
Who knows, he could be our 2nd baseman next year. I hope he isn't riding the bench. Riggs better play him.
Wouldn't be shocked to see Belliard traded in the next few days.
