Damnit. I blame Manny.
him and Rizzo have probably cost us 15-20 wins this year already.

Beimel, Tavarez, Villone and MacDougal are killing us.

The younger guys in the pen are doing swell (Bergmann, Burnett, Clippard).

freak it. it's time to make Bergmann or Burnett the closer and use Clippard and either Berg/Burnett as the 7th-8th inning guys.

i just want this team to avoid being historically bad.

that's not going to happen, is it?

and you know what's sad? this was supposed to be the year we were going to compete. the 62 mets were an expansion team. we've been BUILDING towards 2009.

he has hardly pitched. Acta should have used him tonight in place of Beimel.

We have to use him in close games to see what he's got. It's obviously what these veteran jerks have to offer. They will be gone after this season. We need to find out what Clippard can do for us.

Pete McElroy had a blog up entitled 'Another Bone Head Play'.

It's now off the MASN site.

Knight just ripped Manny for taking out Bergmann to bring in Beimel to face 3 RH batters. nice

Manny is so dumb it's unreal. Like Ray said, you get into trouble when you start bringing in guys just because they are your designated "8th inning guy".

It was even worse when he brought him out to pitch to Tejada-Berkman-Lee in the 9th.

On a happier note, over 40 posts on the first night. Not bad  :icon_mrgreen:

It was nice to chat about the Nats with fellow fans for once.

Yet you'd DFA him first?

Wait until he actually starts giving up runs before we send him out.
