Who's this guy we traded Langerhans for?  I always liked Langerhans, he was a good spare part to have around.  Was he out of options?

Langerhans traded for who?

Infielder Mike Morris (sorry I was barfing so it took me a minute to reply). I believe he was a juicer at one point but I could be wrong.

we got 27 year-old SS Mike Morse from Seattle for Langerhans.

His numbers in AAA this year: .312 BA, 14 Doubles, 10 HRs, 52 RBIs, 20 BBs, 50 Ks (260 ABs).

sportsfan is full of crap. Who ever said that he is a 5 pitcher at best? He exaggerates or misrepresents people's statement (purposely) to support his boys.

I think Rizzo made that move because he wants Syracuse to make the playoffs. They have a great pitching staff but their offense isn't very good. Morse should help them. Orr at SS is having a terrible year. They are only 3 games back of first place with a 39-34 record.

Mock pitched another solid game today: 6 IP 6 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB 1 K. He's been lights out as a starter.

Why couldn't they have just cut Kearns and let Langerhans take his spot on the bench?

Then again, maybe they'll dump Belliard and replace him with this Morris guy

That's the most obvious "player of the game" vote ever.

Either one of those makes sense but they still have to make a move later to make room for Olsen.

you guys said he was a back end starter at best. just because he doesn't overpower people with a 95+ fastball.

good game for Hernandez at the plate.

The dude has been in MLB a month. But I understand that you do that whenver a player that threatens one of your beloved from being the best at their position.

At least Dukes stayed on the ball there and drove it.
