The dude has been in MLB a month. But I understand that you do that whenver a player that threatens one of your beloved from being the best at their position.

Yeah...  I laughed but it's a rookie mistake and nothing more.  Just glad we got to be the beneficiaries.

ain't doing a thing at the plate either. batting .234.

I thought he was supposed to be a God?

He is probably going to be a good player but not even close to as great as people think.

I think Rizzo made that move because he wants Syracuse to make the playoffs. They have a great pitching staff but their offense isn't very good. Morse should help them. Orr at SS is having a terrible year. They are only 3 games back of first place with a 39-34 record.

Mock pitched another solid game today: 6 IP 6 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB 1 K. He's been lights out as a starter.

Morse is having a good comeback year after being out last season with a dislocated shoulder. He was viewed mostly as an OFer for Seattle, but has played a lot of IF too. This is a swap of similar players with Morse having less power in his history but the versatility to play in the IF. It does seem like a move for Syracuse. But he does seem like a good utility option. Not a bad batter at all.

you guys said he was a back end starter at best. just because he doesn't overpower people with a 95+ fastball.

good game for Hernandez at the plate.

Find a post where anyone here said he was a number 5 starter at best. I have repeatedly said I see him as a 4 and a big if as a 3. I stand by that and time will tell. This won't be decided for another 15 months or so but you love to make ridiculous statements in support of your man crushes.

I recall Flores hitting around .234 in '07 and that didn't stop you from thinking he deserved to be elevated to the Greek pantheon.  :?

.244 and he had not even played above A ball and was being used as a back-up to hide him because he was a Rule 5.

lefty up and he takes Lannan out!!! wtf?!! it's not like Lannan was losing it. that was a very lucky hit by Wiggington.

if the bullpen blows it Acta should be fired tomorrow.

So numbers mean nothing unless they contribute to your personal wood?

you have to look beyond the numbers. why don't you go look at Flores' '09 numbers if you are so fascinated with stats. He'd be going to the All-Star game in St. Louis if it weren't for a fluke injury.

best catcher in the NL. not even a debate

Acta should have been fired weeks or months ago.

If I were Lannan, I'd have Dunn beat up Beimel for me.

Thank you Dukes, at least you can throw a baseball. Without that a typical Nats blow the lead was about to occur.

I'd have Dukes do it and then maybe he'll be sent to AAA with Milledge.

I don't even know why I bother. However, I'd like to see how you will spin what I believe will be a superior set of numbers Wieters will put up. And for fun, do you think Flores' numbers would still be this high if it weren't for the fluke injury? Remember that you seemed just as confident about Zimmerman's numbers about a month ago.

yep. Flores would be going to STL for the ASG. look at the NL Catchers.

McCann has decent numbers but he's been injured. Martin is having an embarrassing season.

Flores is a great hitter and he is phenomenal behind the plate. Him getting hurt cost us more than we will ever know this season.
