Put Zim-with-1-N on Bereavement Leave.  0-15 is something to mourn.
Is there a TRADE in the works, perhaps?

dude if he was benched you'd be calling for acta's head saying why isn't zim playing?!?!

they have an off day tomorrow, maybe that will help?
he could have been given off 2 days in a row. Acta hurt the team by playing him again today while in such a big slump. cost us

I called for an off-day for him yesterday.

someone tell me why Manny feels the need to use EVERY PITCHER IN THE BULLPEN in any game where the starter doesn't go 8 innings?

WE know it's not Wells. There has to be a mistake. The booth guys haven't said anything about it and you would've expected them or the Nats Xtra people to have mentioned it.

he's batting .173. maybe they will get rid of him. good god he is worthless.

a shame we don't have many hitters close to the Majors.

Ian Desmond has been great. He is probably the closest hitter.

freak you Bob and Rob. 4-2 is not good enough when you are 30 games under .500.

we should have swept this series and also swept the Yankees. with any offense at all we would have easily won all 6 games this week.

When the starter only goes 5 innings you're going to have to use your bullpen arms. They also have pitched a lot of innings because of back to back extra innings game. Also, Acta is in a lose lose situation. If he leaves them in for more than one inning people nag because they are not effective for long outings and Acta is putting them in a position to fail. But if he moves them along like he is now people nag because he is using his entire bullpen in one game.

Must be something going on. Why is Manny running through all these pitchers?

(didn't you also blame Acta for Zimmerman's hitting streak ending at 30?).

I'll man up and admit that that was me - I made the assertion that without Dunn behind him, Zimm would get pitched around.  At least half of that assertion turned out to be true.

Though it was pretty comical when sportsfan actually admitted that he never realized that Dunn's presence was getting Zimm better pitches to hit

nope. the offense was not going to do a damn thing regardless. they haven't done anything in a long ass time.

yeah 2 run games don't generally win you ballgames, but giving up 6 runs isn't going to get the job done.  today's loss is on martis.

half on him, half on the offense for bending over again.

I'm not going to blame the pitching too much because they have been good for a while now while without any run support.

Assuming they lose this game, and I haven't given up yet, it would be on Martis and the offense. It was a joint effort.

They are still pimping the Red Sox games to sell ticket packages. What are they going to do after the Red Sox series is over?

the pitching has been great recently, the problem is giving up 6 runs puts your team in a hole.  yeah the offense needs to muster more than 2 runs, but again, your you're screwing your team over when you give up 6.

Who has been talking about the breaking ball with 2 strikes on Zimmerman?
