That 0-2 pitch to Burriss with the pitcher on deck and 2 outs was the one of the worst pitches I have seen all year.

He's too scared of walking people. It's one thing to throw strikes...an entirely different thing to throw strikes with an 0-2 count.

Ugh. We've had a bunch of pitchers of the years who have been bad at throwing strikes.

Now we get one who throws strikes but throws them too much and doesn't throw out of the zone when need-be.

This team just can't win.

Exactly what I was thinking. Earlier in the year our pitchers walked too many people. Now they don't throw enouhg out of the strike zone.

Sometimes you miss your spot. You could see by his reaction that he missed his spot completely. He is a young pitcher and there is nothing any pitching coach can do about that. Eventually he will get better, at least let's hope he does.

I already have a very bad feeling about this game. Somehow avoiding being on the recipient end of the kick of history isn't enough to raise the level of play of the team.
