That Stan's claiming to be doing this for the dedicated fans who showed up for the game... when he's really just inconvenienced anyone who showed up.
I think it's because every single major, media outlet is on hand tonight.

Well, yes.  I'm not saying don't play the game.  Just don't tell me that you're playing the game for the good of all the fans who showed up.  If they were priority one, they should've called the game at 6:30 when it was obvious we wouldn't be starting before 10.

I wonder how many extra fans showed up because of the "significance" of this game.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my brother and I were going until we looked at the forecast.

still hasn't stopped per Carpenter. Rizzo and others just had a meeting with the umpires out on the mound.

I wouldn't be surprised if they postponed it.

Eh, not worth it (especially dealing with metro).  At this point in the night I would rather just watch Johnson get #300 from the warmth of my own couch.

Ha. I thought I just saw a field in that sea of rain. What a joke.

There is no way this game should be played.

they should have called it hours ago. It's getting so late I kind of hope they don't even play it. I won't get much sleep tonight if they do play.

I don't care how late they play as long as they play tonight.  I will have zero chance of watching the first game of a double header tomorrow.  All I need is a few hours of sleep to make it through the workday.

It is supposed to rain for the majority of tomorrow anyway.

yeah I doubt they play tomorrow. supposed to be showers and then a steady rain all day.

still, if they start at 11 the game wouldn't even end until 2 AM. ugh, 4.5 hours of sleep FTL.

Hey, Stan's full of it again.  Imagine that.  Maybe now he can retreat back into his Cheney-like bunker 'til the next time there's a out-of-town radio show calling.

Just saw that.  So, I'll get to watch two games at work tomorrow hopefully.  That will be fun.  I was planning to work late to watch the originally scheduled game anyway.  This could be a great day.  Having lunch with some friends too.  Unfourtunatly, I have a mountain of paperwork waiting for me as well...

Most importantly: DPMOmaha still has a chance to extend his streak.

Well...this game is already set up, but I can have game 3 all set up and ready to go as soon as the game is over.  Any word on who will pitch which game?  Will they still let Johnson pitch the primetime game?
