How can you not be???
very true. If that 8th inning is any indication, the bottom of the 9th is going to be an adventure.

Well now it's not a save situation so maybe Hanrahan will come in be lights out.

We need a 5 run lead so a Grand Salami won't beat or tie us.

I don't think Acta would do that.
The paper today said Manny was putting Hanrahan into the 'Closer by Committee' mix.

If I was Manny, I would let him come out and pitch in the 9th, but would pull him the second he started choking.

Maybe this will give us momentum and send us into a mini winning streak.

I am hoping that, as Game 3 of the 2008 season sent us into a tailspin, this will send us into a whatever the opposite of a tailspin is. Maybe we'll win every game Daniel Cabrera doesn't start for two weeks - that would be nice...

EDIT: houston-nat requests we win every game Cabrera doesn't start for the next two weeks

I am pushing my luck!!  :D

we need to go in and sweep a terrible Arizona team this weekend or at the least take 2 of 3. we don't face Haren (or Webb) so there is no excuse not to.

Well, we're going into a series with a team that just fired their manager.

It's sick that you can't be confident with a four-run lead in the 9th inning!

I knew we had a chance to come back earlier. I believe in this offense. It's all about whether or not the bullpen can close it out.

This game will drop us to 7-19.

Some early quotes from this game thread.

That's when I realized that I'd enjoy this game more without the GD thread. It's definitely better sometimes.

ok i'm tired. going to bed.

if I wake up to read that the Nationals lost, then I better read that Manny got fired, St. Claire got fired, the entire bullpen was replaced, Stan signed on with Barnum & Bailey, and the Lerners committed ritual suicide with Katanas.
