haha, on the Dodgers board there is a thread on Russel Martin: "I betcha $100 that Martin was on Roids"

That might be true.

Look at our batting averages!
Guzman .392
Johnson .330
Zimmerman .336
Dunn .290
Dukes .292
Flores .301
Hernandez .328

We have SEVEN hitters batting above .290!!

Whatever fits in a Magnum
You win.

freakin' ESPN. I see nothing on ESPN.com about the Dodgers' streak coming to an end.

every day for the last two weeks they have posted a headline on ESPN.com about the Dodgers' home undefeated streak.

Of course nobody's talking about Zimmerman's streak either, are they?

I'll be really curious to see what they do if Zim get's above 30 on the hit streak.  I think Bristol might explode if a lowly Nat makes a run at a record like that.

4 over .300!  I'm loving the lineup!  If the bullpen can clamp down, then we have a chance to go on a streak.

I seem to remember back when Jimmy Rollins had that nice hitting streak a few years ago that ESPN would actually break from whatever they were airing to show all of his ABs live.

That will never happen with RZ. :?

That's far more than a team would need to make the playoffs AND the World Series.  Need to fix the pitching and get a real manager and pitching coach.  Get a LONG winning streak going...

ESPN used to be a great source of sports news, now it is unbearable.  It is run by a bunch of fanboys that make sure their favorite teams get maximum airtime.  Whatever, MLB network has actually been giving decent and fair coverage to the Nationals.

It's pretty crazy that this team is actually BETTER than I thought they'd be, yet their record is so damn bad. That's why I say this is on the players WAY more than anyone else. I can't blame the FO for the players underperforming.

no thanks. no one in their right mind still believed they had any chance to come back and win after 5 innings when the score was 6-0.
Go find a negative post from me saying the game was lost.  You won't find one.  I've seen many crazier things happen in baseball and the Nats have a potent offense this year.

Harrisburg came back from a 6-0 deficit also today to win 7-6 on a walk-off RBI Double by Matt Whitney.

Yes it will.  You sure do say a lot of dumb things.  Let him get over 30 and see what happens, by 35 the national media circus will be in full bloom.

I DVR'd the game. Just finished watching it. For some reason Dish had the game starting 30 minutes earlier than actually, so I had 30 minutes of no baseball. Then of course, 2 outs, one to go, and the recording ends.Grrr. Thank G-d for the GD threads. I picked up where the DVR stopped. Whew, what a game! I am exhausted and feel wrung out, but happily like after a l-o-n-g round of very active sex. As bad as the bullpen is, Beimel is the craps. I'm starting to love him. Who is the new member who is a Beimel fanatic? He's on to something. And an offense that can win games! Oh, and BTW Spider, I tell every woman I'm with that she's the best ever!!   :D

I'm going to make a bold statement:

This team has one of the top 3-5, if not THE best, regular line-ups in the MLB.

I'm definitely a Beimelite. He's fearless, talented, and motivated. He and Willie Harris have more testicular fortitude than the rest of the team put together.

I watched on mlb.tv, and saw the Dodgers feed.  Didn't mention Manny's name or roids once - any mention on MASN?

He was discussed in the pregame.  Love your avatar.  :worship:

If it continues long enough, they will.
