Due to "special circumstances" I will be in attendance for this Sunday's game against the Brewers.

BWT => Sleeping on the couch => Drive to DC to watch the game

It's a little more exciting than that. Sort of a business mixed with pleasure thing. :)

I think I am. I probably won't know for sure until tomorrow or Saturday morning, but I definitely want to go. It's been awhile since I last saw the P-Nats and it's Lannan Bobblehead night I believe.

It's probably Goldenballs' last game at RFK...at least as a player for LA Galaxy.

In large part that's true, but in a few cases a first pre-season match can win out simply because it's been so long since I've been to that particular venue (in the present case, though, this is less of a factor since I was at FedEx Sunday-before-last for United vs Real Madrid).

What will probably decide my selection that evening will be the weather - there's still talk of 'scattered thunderstorms', and if that's going to be the case there's no way I'm going to walk a mile in the rain (and possible lightning) between Metro and FedEx to see Redskins pre-season (blast that stupid law that banned the Metrobus shuttles)...if there's even a chance of rain, United it is.

My brother called and it's one per person and not one per ticket, so I won't be getting one either.

What are you dense?  If you have multiple tickets you go in, get your bobblehead, hand it to the person you're with, leave the park, enter with your other ticket, grab the bobblehead, and proceed to the nearest beer vendor. Rookies!  8)

Sit in Centerfield
Maybe, I'm not a huge fan of sitting in the outfield...I'm thinking actually about sitting high behind the plate.  I want a good vantage point to watch TPlush roam...

Some people just don't have your special insights

I am pretty sure I am going to the P-Nats game tomorrow night. At this juncture, it all depends on the weather.

2009 3rd Round Pick Trevor Holder tentatively scheduled to make the start tomorrow for the P-Nats.

that increases my chances of going. Holder struggled in his last outing and was skipped the last time through the rotation so hopefully he will bounce back with a good outing.

I'll be roaming the stadium tonight with my wife. Our tickets are 4th deck, we probably won't even sit there.

If you're going tonight (Saturday), better budget more time getting to/from the ballpark because of the combination of (1) Nats, United (hosting David Beckham and the LA Galaxy, always a big draw) and Redskins all with home matches starting at roughly the same time, and (2) a lot of Metro track work going on (ameliorated somewhat by extra trains being added):

Metro ready for Saturday night sports tripleheader

Extra trains for fans after baseball, football, soccer games

Metro will have extra trains available to get fans home from the baseball, football and soccer games on Saturday, August 22.

Riders can expect crowds in the Metrorail system Saturday evening as sports fans head to the Washington Nationals, Washington Redskins and DC United games. The Nationals game starts at 7:05 p.m. at Nationals Park. The Redskins play an exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. at FedEx Field, and DC United play at 7:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium.

After the games, Metro will have a combination of six-car and eight-car trains for patrons traveling from the various sports venues.

Baseball fans going to the Nationals game are reminded to use both entrances at the Navy Yard Metrorail station on the Green Line. The station=s west entrance at Half and M streets, S.E., is one block from Nationals Park. The station=s east entrance is two blocks away at New Jersey Avenue S.E.

Football fans going to the Redskins exhibition game at FedEx Field are reminded to use the Morgan Boulevard Metrorail station on the Blue Line, less than a mile from the stadium. Individuals attending the Redskins game who park their cars at the Morgan Boulevard (635 parking spaces) and Largo Town Center (2,200 parking spaces) Metrorail stations on the Blue Line will have to pay $25 to park and must have a SmarTrip card to pay for parking when exiting these facilities. Paid parking at these two stations goes into effect at 4:30 p.m. and continues two hours after the game concludes. Parking at other Metrorail station lots is free on weekends.

Soccer fans heading to the DC United game are reminded to use both entrances at the Stadium-Armory Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange line. The main entrance at 19th Street and Independence Avenue, S.E., is closest to RFK Stadium. The second entrance is two blocks away at 19th Street between C and Burke Streets, S.E.

Riders connecting to or from the Red Line are reminded to add 30 minutes of travel time to their travels on Saturday due to scheduled track maintenance and track circuit repairs between the Brookland-CUA and Takoma Metrorail stations.

Fans also are reminded to purchase enough value on their farecards or SmarTrip cards for their round trips upon entering the Metrorail system.

Good info as usual, OC.

We'll be in the Red Loft or outside on the porch since our seats are awful.

Gonna use the park at College Park and take the Green in technique.

Yeah, got word of that. That sucks. This is the second Potomac game in a row that I was able to attend but it was rained out.
