i still wanna make it to a P-Nats and Sens game this year, gotta see when CMD wants to go.  But I think it may be easier for everyone to meet @ a Nats game.  Sunday is the best day for me.
Maybe I'll show some initiative soon and get something going.

Traffic going south on 95 is too much for me to get to the P-Nats
Can't do Sunday, but that's no reason to re-skd.
I'll even kick in my Sunday tickets to the cause if there is a worthy WNFF member out there.

I started a presidential race thread last year after the primaries.  I thought there were 2 really good candidates.  But some WNFF members didn't care for KimNat's views, particularly concerning Sarah Palin.  So instead of agree to disagree, they badgered her.  She got fed up and left WNFF.  But KimNat did much for the WNFF members, like organize the WNFF day at Nationals Park.

I still think I missed the whole fiasco with KimNat.  What exactly happened?

If I could organize something formally, I would, but in the mean time I say we all just try and agree on a date and get after it.  I know NJ in the past had something and I think Ballpark Guys did too.

I think she was spirited away by aliens (of the extraterrestrial variety, not the Indonesian/Kenyan sort).

So speaking of spirits, in the spirit of baseball over bollocks, I'll be hitting the loft tomorrow at the top of the 5th to see what spirits (well probably beer) can be scrounged up early in the afternoon, so if anyone is in the vicinity and you happen across someone in an Expos hat muttering incoherently, say hi.

I thought it was being constantly badgered about Bergmann more than political stuff.

EDIT: Not that it matters, to constantly badger a member for any reason is a crappy way to act.

I agree.  Here's what one of our members said to me when I called him on the harsh posts:

"That all depends on her. With Kim, it's always religion. These other issues she talks about, the whining, FOX News, it really means little to her. Everything about this woman stems from God and the religion issue and like you, I am absolutely tired of it.

She gets a lot of "pass" on these boards because she puts up the "board mom" routine and has melted the hearts of many with the stories of her son. I am not one to give such passes. I don't come on the message boards to be mothered and while the story of her son is an inspiration to many, I see little what it has to do with baseball discussion and/or every faucet of this board.

I do not intend to get anymore harsh with her on this issue. I am not the one calling someone else a stupid idiot and making "unresearched assumptions" on candidates and fellow board members while riding the horse of righteousness and proper media ethic. She needs to learn she isn't the only media versed person around here and even those people have different point of views.

Not everyone is awaiting a press conference from God."

If this were the radio, that would be an FCC violation known as "airing dirty laundry". There's no reason to dredge this stuff up. Kim left because she felt personally slighted. It's too bad because Kim is a nice person.

Whomever wrote that needs to learn the difference between "faucet" and "facet"

The reason I brought it up is someone wanted at WNFF Night at the ballpark and KimNats was the organizer in the past.  It is a good example of the short-sided view of those who harassed her.

This will be my 3rd time seeing MOCK pitch  :(.  Who again will be there today?  Also, I hear a guy who made a violin out of a baseball bat will be performing the National Anthem on it.

I was still in the Red Porch when the anthem was played and at first I thought it was an electric guitar until I looked on the TV's in the restaurant.

I'll be there tomorrow with the whole fam.  I think we'll be tailgating either @ RFK or Nats Park.  Can't wait.  Rockin the red Zimmerman jersey.

At ballgames.  I yell alot!  Come On  Garret, Strike HIM OUT!   When I was a kid, I'd scream at the TV.  Mom said "You're not at the ballpark, quiet down!"  So when I'm at the ballpark, I yell as loud as I can!

We wanna hit (repeat)

Strike him out (repeat)

Come on Zimmy, or Guzy, or Willie, or Nyger, Josh!

Great job last night sure makes the game more fun than just sitting there quietly watching the game go by, doesn't it.

Good to know 307 has some spirit. Far too many quiet fans around for my taste. Trying to train the newbies but they don't seem to yell unless I feed them enough beer.

Obviously, you've never sat near Calsgr8 during a game.    :?

Not quite in Senators2005's class, but few are.

hammondsnats, come meet blue and I in the loft.  How can we recognize you?

I'll be in my white curly W t-shirt (MASN sponsored) with stadium milestones on the back, and a scruffy faded red curly W hat.

Sportsfan can tell you that I am pretty good at the heckling myself  If there's ever a successful meetup, a heckling competition is in order.
