Saul Rivera's outing today in Syracuse: 2.2 IP 10 H 8 R 4 ER 1 BB 0 K.

It is incredible how far he has fallen.


Anyone know anything about Patrick McCoy in Hagerstown? 5 IP 2 H 0 R 0 ER 0 BB 4 K in relief of Chico today.

He has 27 K to 2 BB this year with a 1.85 ERA in 24.1 IP.

I found out some of the initial Vermont roster ... Catchers Dan Killian & Ricky Nolan; IFs Dani Arias, Adam Amar, & Ronnie Labrie; OFs J.R. Higley, Brian Pruitt, & J.P. Ramirez; RHP Gary Amato, LHP Clayton Dill, RHP Steven Stewart, RHP Shane Erb, LHP Graham Hicks, RHP Juan Jaime, RHP Federico Tanco, RHP Trevor Holder and RHP Taylor Jordan.

Amar & Amato were signed as minor league free agents, and Holder & Jordan are 2009 draft picks. Obviously, there are more names to be announced.

what happened to Labrie? He was playing in Hagerstown earlier this season.

man VT's rotation should be sick. Holder, Jordan, Hicks, etc

Morris as a college senior seems a safe bet as do Jay Sferra, Sean Nicol, Jack Walker, Pat Lehman, Mitch Clegg, Evan Bronson, and Shane McCatty

As usual, as signings fall into place, I expect that roster to change as more exciting advanced prospects arrive. Wish I could catch a Lake Monsters game this year :(

yeah I live like 5 minutes from the stadium. I don't know why I haven't gone yet. but Thursday works perfect. I'm off on Friday and the Nats play on early Thursday I think (not that that matters :().

I want to go see all these guys before they get promoted though. I've seen Marrero, Burgess, King and a few others play last year but I haven't seen some of the new pitchers, Rooney, and Espinosa.

Pat McCoy (Hagerstown) and Ofilio Castro (Harrisburg) were named players of the week in their respective leagues.

McCoy, a 10th round pick out of HS in 2007, has had an incredible start to the season.  The 20 year old has pitched 5 games so far this season, allowing just 5 ER.  His command has been impeccable and he currently possesses a ratio of 2 BB:27 SO.  He earned the award after pitching 11.1 innings of scoreless ball, allowing 5 hits and no walks while striking out 10.  McCoy has been a guy that has been flying under the radar, but looks to be someone to watch over the remaining course of the season.  As a young lefty with good control, he could end up being a valuable asset to the team.

thanks for sharing ... good to hear.  this mccoy kid has been popping up everywhere recently, i like it.

The Nationals added 29-year old LHP Horacio Ramirez to the Chiefs roster. He's starting game two of this afternoon's doubleheader.
