It's not on ESPN.com or ESPN2. Just calm down, all.

I'm sick to my stomach.

I'm proud of our boys for hanging tough, but this is a bad day for all of baseball.

the whole time, the yankees were lingering and waiting to pounce. pathetic.

i can't wait to watch all of that ridiculous money they've invested not come to fruition, and they fail to make the playoffs.

Yep. Teixeira agrees to deal with NY Yankees. So they weren't bullcrapting all along. This is what he wanted and we were just being used.

I don't get all the hate though. They spend money to improve their team. That's the goal and I don't see anything wrong with that. They aren't breaking any rules or cheating.
It's bullcrap. They are buying a world series or at least attempting too. lame.

freak Teixeira and freak the yankees.

If there is a god in heaven....the Yankees will not get to the World Series next year. I will laugh my ass off at them if that happens.

They have to be running into the FA quota:
http://mlb.mlb.com/pa/pdf/cba_english.pdf#page86

3 or 4 is the limit. CC, Burnett, Tex - that's 3. That's the limit unless there are more than 62 Type and B's.

Looks like they are out on Manny then
Plus whatever team gets the third rounder (looks like the Jays) is gonna be PISSED

Actually, if there is a God, the Yankees will win the next five World Series' and force MLB to correct this mess they call a CBA.

Not sure a cap is the answer, but the luxury tax should be DOUBLED, at least.

Listen I'm all for a salary cap in baseball, but it's not the Yankees fault.  They have the money, a brand new stadium and they wanted to spend it to make a splash.  Good for them.  I hope they don't make the playoffs.

It's MLB's fault.  Go out and make a salary cap.

We need Chief to chime in with a Yankees post so we can have a visual including his Ted Dibiase avatar.

It's hilarious to hear some of you wanting to jump off the ledge over this. And none of you are really going to give up on baseball. They can't buy a title. It has to be won on the diamond. They are just doing everything in their power to help their chances. I see nothing wrong with that and I wouldn't mind it if our team did the same thing. Winning is what it's all about and we should be outdoing ourselves to ensure we improve our chances.

Tex is no A-Rod. He's a piece of crap. I hope he's god awful. I hope he his .175 and makes 400 errors. Good thing our team doesn't have this anvil around our neck. He's a loser.
