honestly, personally speaking ... the longer it remains quiet, it decreases the chance of him landing here (allowing other teams to up their offer, etc).

All depends on what John Henry's budget limits are. The fact that Boras told Henry that his offer was $20 mil light which sent Henry reeling out of the room in pain, I'd say we're still looking good.

I'll gladly give it up if this works out but it's results that matter. If the Nats fail to sign any free agents on top of losing their first round pick last summer then it's the status quo from me.
