so just relax already ...
Who's not relaxed?     The difference between you and I is that I choose not to reward bad behavior - to me that just encourages it to continue.  The Lerners won't care if everybody continues to pay for a piss-poor product, and by continuing to buy tickets and watch games that's exactly what you are doing.

If your competitor is selling $25 hats for $50 and you discover you can sell a $10 hat for the same price then why buy a $25 one?  Each time you buy a ticket for this crappy team, and each time you tune into MASN that's the message you are sending to the Lerners.  I am not happy with this disaster of a club...and this is the ONLY way I can make an impact to change it.

This is ridiculous -- your analogy is retarded -- it's not remotely relevant at all - my passion for baseball has nothing to do with the cost of hats - tell you what -- don't tell me how to be a fan -- and I'll extend you the same courtesy -- ok - thanks

We obviously see the way the Lerner's are running this club in two different ways -- They've owned the team for less than 2 years - I think it's going to take more time -  I don't think the ship is sinking at all -- you of course, can feel anyway you please ... more power to you

First you said I'm not a fan, then you said I'm a frontrunner and now you're calling me retarded!  LOL!

I don't think what I was trying to say is that hard a concept to grasp...but yeah, you should have followed your own advice from the very beginning and this would have never happened.   :D

I never said you weren't a fan - The front runner comment was yanking your chain - Obviously no one on this board is a front runner - I posted that - You called me a complacent sucker -- and for the record -- I said your analogy was retarded ... which it is ... not you

<sigh> Let's review:

I said: I hadn't been watching the Nats because they reek... you said:

I'm a National for good or for ill -- that's why they call them fans

Which I responded that the definition of being a fan is not paying over $100 for a crappy product...that's being a sucker...to which you replied:

Quote from: wpa2629
God Bless The Frontrunners..."

Then when I tried explaining why I don't pay for tickets for a crappy product by using a selling hats anaology you just said it was "Retarded"

Uhmmmm.  It's all there in black & white...

For crying out loud  -- the front runner comment was just yanking your chain -- I didn't think I needed to explain that -- but I did anyway - in several other posts- Look I get it - this team is hard to watch (BTW - tonight's game has been great)  ... I've got no beef with you -- you're a Nats fan - so am I ... we're on the same side ... peace be with you ...

Watching them win despite Flores' bonehead play and Hanrahan closing like Cordero on a tiny screen across a crowded bar was awesome.

As I've stated before, better a losing team than no team...after 28 years (1977-2004 inclusive) of no team I remain quite patient.

I still think that argument is crap though. Better to have a team than at all, im greatful for one, but 3 years later after finally getting one, we havent improved, weve gone downhill.

dont get me wrong, i love having a team, i just think that we could have improved a bit after these some years. Injuries are what sucks the most though

Dukes is supposed to come back today. He's someone else we should be keeping our eye on the rest of the way. Hopefully he can stay on the field.
