Eugenio Suarez dealt to AZ for Carlos Vargas (RHP) and Seby Zavala (C). AZ takes on $13 million guaranteed ($11 million for 2024, $15 million option for 2025 with a $2 million buy out). Vargas throws hard, Zavala is a backup with pop and D. This may put SEattle into the market for a 3rd baseman, so it complicates things a bit for the Nats.
