So Houston not only makes it but they win the division and get a bye into the ALDS. There is no God.

Seems that God may leave us with the results of man’s actions or inactions, especially with no true repentance or correction efforts. Manfred’s recent words of supposed regret related to what seemed like damage control efforts with the bad joke of immunity continues to go the way that such responses may go.

Since both the Astros & the Rangers finished with the same record (90-72), I'm guessing the division title went to the Astros since they were 9-4 against the Rangers this year.

League average OPS went up fairly significantly.  From .702 to .734.  So the shift and maybe the pitch clock had an impact.

Yep, no playoffs before the playoffs anymore.  All done with tiebreakers.

That's great, I wasn't a fan of those tiebreaker games anyways... except for the memorable 2009 Tigers vs Twins tiebreaker: that was a crazy game.

I lost a my fantasy league that year when Fernando Rodney had to intentionally walk a Twin I think in extras or the 9th.

Phillies secret weapon for the playoffs?  Orion Kekering threw a 100 MPH fastball and struck out two Mets in his debut inning. Was a fifth round draft choice out of USF in 2022 and pitched at all four major league levels this year. Why can’t the Nats have quick risers like this?  To be honest I don’t recall anyone shooting through the Phillies system like this before. Nola pitched in the big leagues one year after being drafted but was a first round pick

As number 50 he reminds of another Phillies September call up from many moons ago.

Bump. Would have been more impressive had I spelled his name right.
