Despite all that the average MLB salary has gone up quite a bit. Not sure about median salary?  So I don’t think the players will have much sympathy from the “average” fan.

Even the mean has declined every year under the current CBA despite the minimum salary going up every year.  That - and what the graph you provided would look like next to owners' collective profits on the same time scale - are what really will matter.

Also, when it comes to the choice between millionaires who provide actual entertainment and billionaires who rake the profits, I know where my sympathies lie.
