I remember cracking up at that one, too.

A new one from earlier. I'm sure there are many more from vinnysmullet, too. From: http://www.wnff.net/index.php/topic,4995.0/topicseen.html

"We could call up Hector Carrasco, who's pitching poorly in AAA. That might quell the hand-wringing about the promising Hanrahan.

Or we could just go outside and eat dirt because no one likes us and everything stinks and someone took our lunch money--again."

Anything from Mully is classic!  Get him, Terp & Zilla going at it together and you'll be laughing you head off!   Throw in a little Minty Fresh and Kenza Fan and you'll be rolling on the floor holding your sides!

wow...just wow.  Forgot about that.  Though I won't forget cheering on Hector the first time we, uh, hosted the Phillies' unceremonious elimination from the playoffs in 2005...

Gotta admit, that was a head scratcher for a while, but if you adjust to "doesn't mean we DON'T know jack about baseball", it hangs together pretty well.

Sort of like when people say "I could care less", when they really mean "I could NOT care less".

Yeah, that one had me scratching my head for a bit too until I realized that she meant to include the "not".

I have so little spare time, the times I will be able to stick my head in, will be few or very short when they do occur... It's a good I'm well paid for this... LOL

Patterson does not need to "provide some evidence that he is worthy".  He is as worthy as any other Nationals player!

metssuck also has a classic constant where he says in frustration "Foul, it's always foul" except spelled differently

And let's not forget PC's constant admonition to "BUNT!"

That's a good one! There were quite a few comments about that, too.

A long one, but one worth remembering. From: http://www.wnff.net/index.php/topic,5184.0.html

"The Braves are out of gas, 2-1 series win

I'll never admit to believing in the Mets capability to winning even a single game, so 3-0 in that one.  I'm pretty sure they are 0-145, and there is just a mis-print in the standings.

The Phillies, though running out of steam, get excited at leading the division when our sweep of the Mets coincides with Mitchell report revealing that everyone in baseball is on hallucinagenics, and the Mets have indeed lost every game they ever played.  Highly inspired, the Phillies win the first two games before realizing they are still the Phillies, and the Nats win the last two games in RFK - with Zimmerman hitting  a walkoff HR the final game."
