Nice catch Langerhans. Too bad catches don't win ballgames.

Hello?  Yes - absolutely yes.  None of them represent an ALL STAR quality franchise player.  None.
Elijah Dukes. Lastings Milledge. Ryan Zimmerman. I say they're future all-stars (especially Dukes).
EDIT: And Stephen Strasburg.

In other news, Shairon Martis appears to have cemented a place in the starting rotation for the rest of the year...

Bernadina is settling in nicely. It'd be nice if he could start every day for the the rest of the year.

I've got a new plan. I watched the Bernadina triple fifteen times. It seems like we're winning now and Bernadina is an all star with the most consistent performance I've ever seen.

Yeah that would be FANTASTIC...then we would be SET!  For what exactly I have no idea...

I wish that were the case but I doubt it is.

He's a legit player that is again only 23. What do you expect from guys like him at this point? .300 40 HRs and 150 RBIs?

You are acting like we are an old ass team like the Yankees full of vets that still can't win.

Bergmann is done. I really think the organization has seen what he has to offer them with giving him a turn every five days this year, and I'd like to believe they don't consider him an asset anymore. I expect him to be shopped for peanuts or released this offseason.

Sens, at this point our goal is to win next year. Which means this month we need to ... for lack of a better word ... experiment.
Which is why Dukes is packing a whip, rubber gloves, a chip clip and a bag of marshmallows for the postgame festivities. ;)

I agree with you. I hope they just let him go and try to find a job elsewhere.

I'm tired of being the Don's Jon of MLB that's all...I've waited my whole life for a team in DC and all I want is a team that is fun to watch and doesn't force me to put a grocery bag on my head...is that too much to ask?   :?

Oh, I'm tired of losing too but I can sort of see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have the building blocks and foundation. If things break our way next year, we could win some games. I'd just like to see everyone stay injury-free and see what we could do. A few FA signings would be nice but I wouldn't count on any significant ones.

Wilkie coming on for a 4 out save for Potomac who holds a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs and a runner at third.

I'm not requiring us to win the World Series or anything...but Jesus, I can't stand watching an embarassment on the field game after game...season after season.  Even the second version of the Senators were entertaining and at least competitive once in awhile.

The Braves only have one more hit than us but have scored five times as many runs. Now we understand the power of a lineup including Casto, Langerhans, Bernadina, Nieves, Bonifacio and Bergmann. Especially Bergmann.

Kinda interesting to see Martis and Bergmann pitch consecutive nights to pretty much the same lineup. The results don't bode well for Jason.

Well Armando Galarraga is pitching almost as badly for Detroit as Bergmann did for us tonight. Maybe we can swap them in a "change of scenery" kind of trade.

No matter how bad it gets, it could be worse, we could be the O's.

Speigner's stuff looks good but it's just not translating to success at this point. A little disappointing although it's only 2 outings.

Wilkie picks up the final out of the 8th! On to the 9th, Potomac leads 1-0.

Very true. I wouldn't trade our franchise for the O's in a million years. Their pitching is the worst I've ever seen. They have walked the most batters in baseball this year by far.
