As of today, if the Nats go undefeated throughout the remainder of the season, they'll fiinish with 77 wins. If the Mets lose all of their remaining games except one to the Phillies and the Phillies lose all of their remaining games except two to the Mets (the Mets & Phils have one three-game series remaining) both teams will finish with 77 wins. The Marlins, however, have three series remaining with the Mets/Phillies and both those teams would have to lose all of those games against the Marlins. If that's the case, and the Marlins lose all of their remaining games, the Marlins finish with 78 wins and win the division.
Don't ask why I know this but keep in mind I did keep track of exactly 26 weeks of Nats baseball last season.
