I cant find it, but the goodbye joey eischen posting was one of the funniest things i've ever read on here if someone can find it. might have been on the mlb board
I found it--"The Goodbye, Joey Eischen Thread"--on the MLB board. I can't say this is the funniest post ever, but it sure brings back memories from the Eischen Era (not to be confused with the Eischen ERA, which was, what, equal to his age?). Good times, good times.

Joey, I love your wind-up toy deep knee bend before your delivery. I've laughed when you've come to the mound and thrown your first pitch over the batter's head or in the dirt. I loved your quotes to the Homestand publication last year--when you said your favorite breakfast cereal was "eggs" and that you prepare for games by hating the other team. I've marveled at the horror of your mouth guard in TV close ups, I've admired your quirky walks to the mound that could only be executed in right angles, and I've hoped that your prayers on the mound would be answered.
But now, Joey, I am done with you. I am ready to say goodbye and godspeed. I hope your wife wins her bodybuilding competition, and I hope she stays by your side. Because right now, I want to kick your @ss, and you need a bodyguard.
Thanks for all the good times, pal.

P.S. I was in the old Lerner HQ last winter, and what did I spy on display in the Nats Team Store, but an EISCHEN JERSEY! That's right--it was 2008 already, and the main team store had Eischen's jersey on a display mannequin. That's a jersey Eischen's MOM wouldn't buy. But did I mention that the mannequin actually had a better ERA in that jersey than Joey did? And the mannequin had no arms.
