Casto, Gonzalez to be recalled

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals are expected to make their September callups early next week.

Manager Manny Acta said infielder/outfielder Kory Casto and shortstop Alberto Gonzalez will be added to the big league roster from Triple-A Columbus, but Acta wouldn't tip his hand on any other promotions.

Casto has had two trips to the big leagues this season. He played in 49 games and hit .193 with one home run and 10 RBIs. He is went 2-for-3 with a home run against Toledo on Friday.

Gonzalez, who was acquired from the Yankees on July 31, got off to a great start with the Nationals, going 6-for-13, but had to go on the disabled list because of a left hamstring strain. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored against Toledo on Friday.
